We now have confirmed orders for the Zeron E1060 for New Zealand. The first RHD demo unit is nearly complete using the first Matrix oil cooled e-axles with disc brakes on a Zeron.
We went for a ride in one of their L4 autonomous prime movers. There will be 100 of these in operation this year.
Heading into a new container depot to pick up some empties for Taicang port. These trucks run 300km a day running up to 47t max. Public charging costs 18c per kWh so around $55 a day.
As our trusty Windrose demonstrator heads back to China the company has announced the next generation with 1000v architecture, and 960km range loaded. Even with the state of our New Zealand roads that will mean Auckland to Wellington loaded, non-stop.
Impressive duration, but it will likely be heavy and mid 2028 at the earliest.

Our next two Farizon refrigerated trucks will soon be on their way to New Zealand. One fairly conventional, the other with double doors all around so the whole thing can be loaded by forklift.
The superstructure build quality is exceptional.

We have run the data from National Road Carriers on b-double costs for the Deepway or Zeron vs diesel again. We left RUC in, even though you don’t pay that on the EV semi tractor at present. We also show EV autonomous although of course you would then run 24/7 and the capital costs per km would fall dramatically. You can add a hydrogen truck to the graph but you will need a longer y axis.
