June 2026 Newsletter

Etrucks are delighted to announce we are now the distributors of Zeron electric trucks for New Zealand and Australia. We will start with their 1060hp prime mover with its chassis mounted 600kWh CATL battery.
You can order now for delivery in early 2027 for NZD280,000 + GST after LEHVF and in Australia for AUD345,000 + GST

Zerons feature the industries best oil cooled e-axles with 94.3% efficiency from battery to tyre. Ours will have disc brakes and come standard with the PTO.
The Matrix e-axles feature intelligent management with sequential shifting (one axle then the other) and one axle can disconnect completely when not required.

The Zeron has exceptional ground clearance for an electric prime mover. The tare weight is 11.3t and GCM 54t. In China several are running at 80t plus.

I did a days duration testing in Xiangyang. Running at 49t gross we achieved 410km at metro speeds and 335km at highway speeds with 15% SOC remaining in each case.
The Zeron features four gun charging for a combined 1,200A to achieve a charging rate of 20% to 80% in 37 minutes.

For those with an eye to the future Zeron have the most production ready autonomous highway truck I have seen. They will have 100 trucks running without drivers in China this year and 1000 units in 2027.

While out highway testing we came across this hydrogen FCEV, the first one I have seen in the wild in China. An impressive hydrogen station with one lane for 35MPa and a second lane for 70MPa

Hydrogen FCEV trucks are fairly rare in China, the latest sales data is below.

We had a senior Deepway team in NZ a couple of weeks ago looking to optimize their trucks for NZ. We might be on the right track when the biggest two complaints are “the heater could be better and how about a radio”
